Committed to Advancing ADHD Knowledge and Care
At ADHDinSync, we are dedicated to improving access to high-quality ADHD assessment, training, and support across the UK. We work with healthcare professionals, educators, and organisations to strengthen understanding and deliver effective, evidence-based care.
The Challenge We’re Addressing
Across the UK, individuals seeking ADHD assessment and treatment are facing significant delays. In many areas, waiting times for assessment can exceed two years, with further delays for medication titration and ongoing support.
These delays can have a serious impact on:
- Education
- Employment
- Mental health
- Overall quality of life
A key contributing factor is the shortage of trained clinicians able to carry out ADHD assessments and prescribing. Increasing service pressures and changes in commissioning mean many GPs are no longer able to provide this care, leading to greater reliance on secondary services and independent providers.

Our Purpose
We provide high-quality, practical training designed to develop confident, competent professionals who can deliver safe, effective ADHD care. Our focus is on building a stronger workforce of ADHD assessors and prescribing clinicians to improve access and outcomes.

Our Approach
.Our training is aligned with recognised clinical standards, including:
- NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidance
- DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
We emphasise:
- Structured and clinically robust assessment
- A multidisciplinary perspective
- A developmentally informed understanding of ADHD
- The wider biopsychosocial context
This ensures professionals are equipped not only to diagnose ADHD accurately, but to provide meaningful, person-centred care.
The gap ADHD in Sync is solving
Strengthening the ADHD workforce to improve access to care
ADHD in Sync was established to help address this gap by providing high-quality, practical training for healthcare professionals involved in ADHD care. Our programmes focus on developing skilled ADHD assessors and prescribing clinicians who can deliver safe, evidence-based and person-centred care.
